Wilson County Senior Activity Center Ribbon Cutting

On May 29th, 2024, Farrior and Sons joined Oakley-Collier Architects and Wilson County Government in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the new additions and renovations to the Wilson County Senior Activity Center, located at 1808 Goldsboro Street. The 2,200 SF addition to the front of the center consists of a new vestibule and reception area, a large open space, and several offices, and exam rooms along with a new conference room. The interior of the existing building was also renovated. These renovations consisted of new drywall and paint on the walls, new acoustical ceilings and lights, new doors and cabinets and new flooring.
The front of the building was completely upgraded to give it a more modern look, consisting of a new large covered drive canopy, new storefront windows and entrance, EIFS, fiber cement siding, and metal trim. The front parking lot was reworked to add new asphalt at the drop off canopy and several new additional parking spaces. New landscaping was also added to the front and sides of the building along with new sidewalks and two handicap ramps to access existing doors. The project started in April 2023 and was completed in February 2024.
