Safety Awards
October 13, 2012 Farrior and Sons, Inc. was presented a safety award from TriSure insurance company for eight years accident free. Farrior and Sons has worked 700,158 hours without a lost time accident. John Cramer of TriSure presented the Award to Bill Farrior Jr. on December 16th. “It is unheard of for a general contractor to wok so long without an accident, and Very few companies achieved such a record and have maintained such a high level of safety awareness”-John Cramer. Bill Farrior Jr. gives the credit to the companies safety record to the employees.

2011 NC Department of Labor Safety Banquet
Farrior & Sons, Inc. was awarded the Gold Award for the third consecutive year during the North Carolina Department of Labor’s annual safety banquet at the Hilton in Greenville.
The Gold Award is based on the DART case rate, or cases with days away, restriction or job transfer. Farrior & Sons, Inc. has worked 7 1/2 years without a lost-time accident. With Commissioner of Labor Cherie Berry are company President Bill Farrior, Jr. and project manager Scott Fussell.

Farrior & Sons, Inc. held their annual Safety Banquet and Years of Service award on January 26th. Employees of the company were recognized for their accident-free work and their years of service at the company’s banquet held at the Farmville Community Center.

Farrior and Sons, Inc works SEVEN YEARS without a lost time accident

Farrior and Sons Inc. was honored with a Safety Award of exemplary safety by AmeriSure Insurance. The award recognizes the safety performance of Farrior and Sons employees for working 688,880 man hours without a lost time accident. It has been more than seven years since the last lost time accident at Farrior and Sons on October 12, 2003.
“It is an honor for our employees to be recognized for their superior commitment to safety. Our employees are dedicated and determined in keeping Farrior and Sons a safe place to work. Every employee is genuinely concerned not only for themselves, but for the safety and well-being of their coworkers as well” stated company President Bill Farrior Jr.

NC Department of Labor Celebrates Safety
The NC Department of Labor held their annual Safety Banquet on Tuesday night, April 6, 2010. Several employees of Farrior & Sons attended the event; Bill Farrior, Jr. and spouse, Scott Fussell and spouse, and Mike Folen.
Farrior & Sons was awarded the “Gold Award” for the second consecutive year. The Gold Award is based on the DART case rate, or cases with days away, restriction, or job transfer. Farrior & Sons has worked six and one half years without a lost-time accident.
The evening began with opening remarks from Susanne Sartelle with the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce. Dinner and dessert were provided by the Hilton. Afterwards, the Commissioner of Labor, Cherie Berry, made remarks about safety and the economy. The evening concluded with the presentation of safety awards to over 75 employers.
