October 13, 2012 Farrior and Sons, Inc. was presented a safety award from TriSure insurance company for eight years accident free. Farrior and Sons has worked 700, 158 hours without a lost time accident. John Cramer of TriSure presented the Award to Bill Farrior Jr. on December 16th. “It is unheard of for a general contractor to wok so long without an accident, and Very few companies achieved such a record and have maintained such a high level of safety awareness”-John Cramer. Bill Farrior Jr. gives the credit to the companies safety record to the employees.

Hookerton Family Medical Practice Ground Breaking

On January 17, 2012 Farrior and Sons, Inc. joined The Town of Hookerton and Hookerton Family Practice in celebrating the ground breaking of their new 3,500 square foot addition. In attendance was Hookerton Mayor Bobby Taylor, Dr. Donald Ribeiro and staff of Hookerton Family Practice, and other public officials from Greene County. Bill Farrior Jr., Bobby Evans, Bill Flowers, and Scott Fussell were in attendance from Farrior and Sons, Inc.

The new 3,500 square foot addition will consist of a new waiting room, receptionist office, 6 treatment rooms, doctors office, 2 new bathrooms, and a large pharmacy area. The addition will also include expansion of the parking lot which will include 20 new parking spaces. Construction is expected to be completed in Summer 2012.

Johnston Pain Management Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On July 27, 2011 Farrior & Sons, Inc. joined Johnston Pain Management in celebrating the ribbon cutting of their new 9,300 square foot medical office building located in Jacksonville, NC. The first floor consists of 7,770 square feet which includes a large waiting room, 10 exam rooms, 2 large procedure rooms, conference room, staff lounge, 6 office rooms, and 8 bathrooms. The second floor consists of 1,530 square feet and is designed for a separate occupant. This space consists of a large multi-purpose room, bathroom and IT closet. Farrior & Sons broke ground in July 2010 and completed the project in March 2011.

Carolina East Home Care & Hospice – Administration Building

On June 29, 2011 Farrior and Sons, Inc. began construction on the new 9,030 square foot Carolina East Home Care & Hospice – Administration Building in Kenansville, NC. This new building is being built next to the existing Hospice Center completed by Farrior and Sons back in November 2008. The new Administration Building consists of 24 office rooms, 3 conference rooms, large medical supply room, large medical records room, staff lounge and 3 restrooms. Construction is expected to be complete in May 2012.

Onslow Medical Specialties Ground Breaking

On Friday September 2, 2011 Farrior & Sons, Inc. joined Onslow Medical Specialties in celebration of the ground breaking for the construction of their new 12,000 square foot medical facility in Jacksonville. Dr. Eusebio Desuyo and wife Dr. Milagros Cailing along with their staff and close friends were all present for this ground breaking event. Bill Farrior Jr., Tim Randall, Scott Fussell, and Chris Elks were in attendance representing Farrior & Sons. The building will be a Varco Pruden pre-engineered metal building consisting of metal stud framed interior walls, brick veneer and a metal roof. The building will consist of 8,000 square foot of finished space and 4,000 square foot of unfinished space.

Located on County Home Road in Greenville, NC

Farrior and Sons, Inc. built two classroom wings additions for Rose Hill Church in 2000. Now we are in the process of building a 10,950 sf Family Life Facility. Construction began in May of 2011 and will be complete by the first of October. The facility will have several classrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, a large gathering area for basketball games, special events, and performances. There is also a stage with a ramp for access and dressing rooms. The building is a Varco Pruden pre-engineered building with metal stud framing, painted drywall, exposed ceilings in some areas and acoustical in others.

Farrior & Sons, Inc. was awarded the Gold Award for the third consecutive year during the North Carolina Department of Labor’s annual safety banquet at the Hilton in Greenville.

The Gold Award is based on the DART case rate, or cases with days away, restriction or job transfer. Farrior & Sons, Inc. has worked 7 1/2 years without a lost-time accident. With Commissioner of Labor Cherie Berry are company President Bill Farrior, Jr. and project manager Scott Fussell.

Farrior and Sons Inc. was honored with a Safety Award of exemplary safety by AmeriSure Insurance. The award recognizes the safety performance of Farrior and Sons employees for working 688,880 man hours without a lost time accident. It has been more than seven years since the last lost time accident at Farrior and Sons on October 12, 2003.
“It is an honor for our employees to be recognized for their superior commitment to safety. Our employees are dedicated and determined in keeping Farrior and Sons a safe place to work. Every employee is genuinely concerned not only for themselves, but for the safety and well being of their coworkers as well” stated company President Bill Farrior Jr.

Landmark Baptist Church, Greenville NC

On Sunday 8-29-10 Landmark Baptist Church, Greenville NC held its dedication service for their new 9,500 square foot addition. This new addition consists of 11 new classrooms, a 970 square foot commercial kitchen, new bathroom and a 2,000 square foot storage room added to the rear of their family life center.

The dedication was held during their regular Sunday morning worship service which began at 10:30 am.

Lead Pastor Bill Rodebaugh recognized and thanked members of the building committee as well as the architect Mark Smith and Farrior & Sons, Inc. the general contractor for a job well done. Curtis Evans head of the building committee recognized and thanked those present from Farrior & Sons who were Bill Farrior Jr., Tim Randall, Scott Fussell, and Pete Vick. Curtis also recognized Wilson Rhodes Electrical contractor, Bill Brann Mechanical contractor and Petey Garris asphalt paving contractor.

The service concluded with everyone gathering in the Family Life Center for prayer of dedication of the new addition and closing words by Shelton Harris. Open House of the new addition followed.

Varco Pruden Presents Awards to Farrior and Sons Inc.

Farrior and Sons was presented with two awards from Varco Pruden Buildings on July 7, 2010. Farrior’s district manager, Yogi Barwick, presented Bill Farrior, Jr. with a plaque for being a Varco Pruden builder for 40 years. Farrior and Sons became an authorized pre-engineered builder with Varco Pruden in 1969.

Mr. Barwick also presented Bill Farrior, Jr. and Tim Randall with a plaque for achieving a sales volume of $250,000 or more during 2009. Mr. Barwick complimented the Farrior team for achieving such an award despite the slow economy that we are presently in.
